Hi everyone! Just a quick update to let you all know that fall colours are just starting here in the Rockies, with much of the buckbrush and high alpine already in full swing and with some high alpine areas even done already. The aspens are just starting to change and the larches should be starting any day now.
For those of you arriving in the next few days, try the Vermilion Lakes area of Banff National Park or the Banff-Radium Highway near Storm Mountain in Kootenay National Park for some early fall colours.
If you want someone to guide you around the area for the best colours, try Jasper Vacations in Jasper. They provide some phenomenal wildlife viewing trips and sightseeing tours that are well worth the money. If you go with them, ask for Joe as your guide and say John Marriott sent you!
And for those photographers looking for something a little different, check out the late fall nature photography workshop being offered by SNAP! Photography Seminars at the beautiful Baker Creek Chalets near Lake Louise in Banff National Park.
Happy shooting!
John
