I’m starting up a new blog section here called, simply, ‘Photo of the Month’. May’s Photo of the Month is of a beautiful, big male grizzly bear on the Kootenay Parkway (the highway between Castle Mountain in Banff National Park and Radium at the south end of Kootenay National Park).
Check out those claws! And remember to stay in your vehicle if you encounter a bear in the Rocky Mountain national parks. Not only will the bear stick around if you do, but you’ll get a lot better pictures of it acting more naturally.
Happy shooting!
John
PS – want to come photograph grizzly bears with me sometime? Check out my Canadian Wildlife Photography Tours & Workshops website for 2011 and 2012 grizzly bear photo tours.
