Top 3 Events Happening in Banff in April and May
Banff, Alberta
Aside from the natural and daily jewels that Banff stores in its treasure box, there are some great social events. Mountain Man has marked all his favorite dates down on his Pamela Anderson calendar on the kitchen wall, and thought it would only be fair to share this information with my fellow Banff lovers. Below are three of the highlights for all ages in the next two months. On a side note, if you see me at these events, I charge 25 cents for photos and 40 cents for autographs. So far, I have collected 65 cents (thanks Ma).
12th April: YWCA Easter Party – (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Every year the YWCA hosts an awesome Easter Party, and this year’s is only around the corner. It’s an excellent day for the kids, with face painting, egg decorating, crafts and the best part of all – an Easter egg hunt! Yes, it is for the children, and yes, I have been warned, but once that taste of chocolate hits your mouth, there’s no stopping me. To volunteer, call 403-760-3200. All help to deal with abusive Mountain Men is appreciated.

May 2: Wine & Food Festival – (12:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
As well as chocolate, there are two things in the world that nobody should ever say no to, food and wine. What is better than food and wine? Food and wine together! At the aptly named Wine & Food Festival, some of the best wine in the world is served up with top quality food. Not to be missed.
May 9: Robert Genn Exhibition – (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
I was skeptical at first that anybody could possibly capture the true natural beauty of the Canadian Rockies with a painting. How wrong I was. Renowned Canadian landscape painter and author Robert Genn captures classic Lake of the Woods, West Coast and Lake O’Hara mountain scenes with acrylic on canvas that will leave you in awe and itching to get back into the real scene.
