The Mount Edith Cavell Tour follows the “Path of the Glacier” trail though one of Jasper’s most stunning landscapes. This is one of the most spectacular adventures that we offer and should not be missed by anyone visiting Jasper National Park! Your guide will transport you to and from the Jasper townsite and along the Path of the glacier while providing enlightening interpretation of the local ecology, geology, and history. The walk usually requires 1.5 hours to complete and is 1.6 km (1 mile) in length and gains 170 ft of elevation over half of this distance. Most people find this walk to be of little to moderate difficulty to achieve. On this hike you will experience the majesty of Mount Edith Cavell towering over a mile above you. You may even see icebergs calve off the Angel Glacier and cascade into Cavell Pond.
This tour lasts approximately three hours. Please ensure you have water, closed toe footwear, and a jacket. This tour is operational for a relatively short period of the year due to seasonal closures of the road by Parks Canada. This tour operates June 26th through to October 15th.
